General Information
Description of AgencyPAWW is an independent statewide non-profit 501©(3) organization providing support to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Veterans in Crisis, and their families. We are not affiliated with nor a part of any national organization, including Wounded Warrior Project, and we do not receive any funds from them.

We provide emergency financial assistance to veterans to help pay for housing, utilities, transportation, medical and other expenses. We pay directly to landlords, vendors and creditors.
HistoryThe late Maj. Gen. Gerald Sajer and his wife, Helen, have been on the front lines of aiding veteran families. They founded the non-profit PA Wounded Warriors in 2006.

Intake ProcedureContact local VA Hospital or Clinic, County Veterans Office or similar Veterans Service Agency. The social worker and caseworker develops the best course of action.
Intake RequirementsBring these documents to your appointment:
- Proof of Pennsylvania residency, DD 214 (Discharge)Service-connected disability award letter (if you have one), Copies of lease and other bills you need assistance with. Ensure they have addresses and account numbers on them. If car repair, also bring copy of car title, car insurance and car registration.
