General Information
Description of ProgramProvide readjustment and transition counseling to veterans of military campaigns and their family members. Services available at Vet Centers include individual, group and family counseling, bereavement counseling for families of an active duty death and counseling for military sexual trauma. Call centers provide information on Vet Center locations and referral for all counseling services, as well as substance abuse, medical issues and employment services. A suicide hotline is available 24 hours a day.

Family members of combat veterans are eligible for Vet Center counseling services for military related issues.

EligibilityYou may be eligible for VA benefits if you are a: veteran; veteran's dependent; surviving spouse, child or parent of a deceased veteran; uniformed service member; present or former reservist or National Guard member.
