Description of ProgramIncludes these services:
  • Individual & Group Advocacy–to empower people with disabilities to speak for themselves and others on their rights, privileges, and services
  • Life Skills Training - designed to increase self-reliance and self-confidence to help persons with disabilities live independently
  • Employment Services - a fee-for-services customized employment program
  • Service Coordination– Enables persons with disabilities and their families to find, utilize, and coordinate available resources and opportunities in their communities based on their individual needs
  • Assistive Technology Services that includes a Resource Center, a Lending Library of technology devices, and a device distribution program including gently used equipment
  • Americans With Disabilities Act Services that include advocacy and accessiblity services
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services
  • Sensitivity Trainings and Public Awareness
  • Peer Support and Mentoring– provides emotional support and personal growth for people with similar disabilities
  • Information & Referral– A comprehensive listing of disability-related resources
  • Independent Monitoring for Quality (IM4Q) - to encourage continuous improvements in the quality of services provided to Pennsylvania’s Consumers of Mental Retardation Programs.
