General Information
Description of ProgramPAWW is an independent statewide non-profit 501©(3) organization providing support to Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors, Veterans in Crisis, and their families. We are not affiliated with nor a part of any national organization, including Wounded Warrior Project, and we do not receive any funds from them. We provide emergency financial assistance to veterans to help pay for housing, utilities, transportation, medical and other expenses. We pay directly to landlords, vendors and creditors.

Intake ProcedureIndividuals are free to call for services. However, most are asked to go through the following locations to request services: local VA Hospital or Clinic, County Veterans Office or similar Veterans Service Agency

The social worker and caseworker develops the best course of action. If he/she chooses to request assistance from PAWW he/she will send the request to us. Our volunteers will review the request with caseworker, will ensure it meets our requirements and determine if PAWW has the funds available. If we can assist we will send payments to the landlord and creditors. In all cases our volunteers will inform the social and caseworker on we have decided to do.

DD 214 (Discharge)
Service-connected disability award letter (if you have one)
Copies of lease and other bills you need assistance with. Ensure they have addresses and account numbers on them.
If car repair, also bring copy of car title, car insurance and car registration.
