Description of Service
The Nurse-Family Partnership is a program for women having their first baby. A nurse will provide weekly or bi-weekly home visitation services throughout the pregnancy and will continue until the baby is two years old. The nurse can assist with the mother's specific needs, like helping her to understand her health and her baby's health, making the home a safe place, involving family and friends, and receiving information on community services.
