Description of Service
Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard, Homeless Veterans Day Program provides weekday services for Pittsburgh's homeless veterans and includes breakfast & lunch, showers and clothing,financial literacy, life skills, medical/legal and employment assistance.
Shuttle available from area shelters.
Call 412-363-0500 or walk-in Monday through Friday between 8:00am to 3:00pm and speak with a staff member.
The only requirement for Veterans to receive services are for them to desire a change in their lives and a willingness to work a program designed by our program staff. For Veterans living in our Transitional Housing Program, it is required that they remain free of any drug and/or alcohol use and participate in periodic activities as requested by program staff.
Veterans who are homeless (or experiencing a housing crisis) and have served in a branch of the United States Military at some point in their lives. There is no time in service requirement; only that the Veteran did not receive a dishonorable discharge.
