Description of Service
VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System's Comprehensive Vocational Services and Supported Employment helps Veterans get back to work. Staff will assess your abilities and interests, provide you with job-seeking skills and assist you with finding and maintaining employment. They will provide support as long as you need it.
This program gives priority to serious psychiatric issues.
The program will help:
Determine the type of work you want to do,
Fill out job applications,
Arrange job interviews,
Prepare you for interview questions,
Handle problems that may arise on the job,
Work closely with your clinician and employer regarding your potential symptoms,
Their staff can attend interviews with you and accompany you on the job to help you adjust to your duties.

In addition, VSO's (Veteran Service Organizations) can assist you as well by answering general questions and even petitioning on your behalf for services they believe you are qualified to receive.
