Description of Service
The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) implements the medical assistance program of the VA through the administration and operation of numerous VA Medical Centers (VAMC), Outpatient Clinics (OPC), Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC), and VA Community Living Centers (VA Nursing Home) Programs.
VA’s Polytrauma System of Care (PSC) balances access and expertise to provide the right rehabilitation care at the right time and location. For highly specialized care, travel likely will be required.
The tiered PSC integrates specialized rehabilitation services at regional centers, network sites and local VA medical centers.
