Description of Service
Catholic Charities has several apartments in a secure building in downtown Pittsburgh to provide a safe and comfortable home for pregnant women who are homeless, and who may continue to reside there until their child reaches two years of age.
Each woman meets with a Roselia caseworker to develop a plan to become self-sufficient by acquiring the skills necessary to achieve a better life for herself and her baby during the first years of the infant’s life. Services include life skills training, job-readiness skills, and pregnancy and parenting education and counseling.
