Description of Service
Area Agency on Aging operates their own Home Delivered Meal services from each of its eight Senior Activity Centers throughout the county. Meals are delivered Monday through Friday, and are either delivered hot daily, or frozen; delivered in quantities of 5 each week or 10 every two weeks; depending on how close consumer lives to a Senior Activity Center. Persons may request an assessment for Home Delivered Meals by contacting the Area Agency on Aging and completing the intake process with the Information and Referral staff on duty. Aging staff can also provide information about any other home delivered meal services available in the county. Each consumers situation is assessed on an individual basis to determine if home delivered meals are needed or if a consumer is at nutritional risk .
