Description of Service
The food pantry is typically held every other week with the intention of providing the basic need of food for certified families. The pantry is a shop-through pantry.
Seven school district service territory: Baldwin-Whitehall, Bethel Park, Keystone Oaks, Mt. Lebanon, Ringgold, South Park, and Upper St. Clair.
Families must call the Family Assistance Coordinator or the Family Assistance Caseworker to make a certification appointment. Families will be required to fill out paperwork that captures basic demographic information and a Self-Sufficiency Questionnaire to gauge other areas in which the family could use help.
Families must call first to make an appointment with Family Assistance staff.
English, Spanish, other languages by interpreters based on need.
Families who wish to certify to use the food pantry must live within SHIM’s 7 school district service area, and they must have total gross household income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Level.
Hours of Operation
First and Third Wednesday of each month, 10:00am to 1:00pm and 3:00pm to 5:00pm
