General Information
Description of ServiceFor Erie County middle and high school students who are affected by the negative influences of poverty, violence, drugs, crime and other anti-social behaviors. Students who participate in this program go on a "Freedom Ride" to Selma, Montgomery, Tuskegee, Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia where they learn about the Civil Rights Movement and the historical significance it holds today. Students are exposed to universities of higher education, museums and historical sites and are taught the value of tolerance, respect and self-discipline.
