Description of Service
Bridges to Success is an economic empowerment program for individuals living in poverty or low-income situations. This program facilitates learning-based co-investigation by facilitators and individuals, supports individuals in stabilizing their situations; building resources, positive support systems, and human capital. People are given a chance to assess where they are, determine where they want to be, and build their own plan to achieve their goals. Support is provided along the way.

Yes for entrance to building and restrooms
People enter the Bridges to Success program by applying for a Getting Ahead class. Applications are mailed to UMHS office. Applications are reviewed by program director and selected individuals are contacted for interviews. Applications can be obtained by contacting the office.
Classes meet weekly for 16 weeks for 2.5 to 3 hours per session. Class space is limited and applications will be considered in the order they are received.
