Description of Service
Offers help for low-income, payment-troubled customers. The CARES program identifies the elderly, persons with handicaps and low-income customers who may have difficulty paying their utility bills. Customers who meet income guidelines will be enrolled into the company's Energy Assistance Program and Low Income Usage Reduction Program LIURP).
Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Washington, and Westmoreland counties
Equitable Gas customers who meet income guidelines(150% of federal poverty level): Income eligibility is $1,361 monthly for a one-person household. Add $478 per month for each additional person in the household. Customer must reside in the home. Click here to see specific eligibility information.
