Energy Help Fund (EHF): May allow a qualified low income residential customer to obtain a discounted monthly payment for their gas bill. Other benefits of the EHF Program may include reduced rates and credits toward past due balances when monthly payments are made on or before each monthly bill payment date.
CARES: The Customer Assistance and Referral program (“CARES”) may be able to help customers who are experiencing a temporary hardship by referring those customers to assistance programs specific to the customer's need.
Wise Choice Weatherization Program: This program may help reduce the gas usage of your home so that you may have lower monthly utility bills. A qualified home may receive a wide range of free services including but not limited to: installation of attic and wall insulation, door sweeps, caulking and weather stripping, furnace or boiler inspection and tune-up and a water tank inspection. A comprehensive energy audit and inspection of the home may be performed as well. The inspector will even advise you about many energy savings tips.
For the Energy Help Fund (CAP), income eligibility 150% of the federal poverty level: $1,397 for one person household, add $495 for each additional household member.
For LIURP: income eligibility 300% of the federal poverty level: $2,793 for one person household, add $990 for each additional household member. Must use more than 120 MCF annually, and must have had service for 12 consecutive months or more. If not homeowner, must have landlord's written permission.
