General Information
Description of ServiceNeighborhood Legal Services Association (NLSA) provides free civil legal services to low income individuals and families without the means to hire a private attorney. May provide direct representation, advice, assistance in self-representation, brief service/limited legal assistance or referral to a private attorney (including free and reduced-fee), depending on case. Provides community education on legal topics. Free interpretation services are provided to those with limited English abilities and the hearing-impaired.

While NLSA does not provide assistance with Veterans' Benefits, we can provide legal assistance to eligible veterans who are having problems with their housing, utilities, or other issues within NLSA's priorities. Please contact the Veterans Leadership Program to obtain a referral.

Helpful TipsWalk-ins may access services in New Castle, Bridgewater, or Pittsburgh for physical sites but Butler clients can call to ask for services by telephone as well.
