General Information
Description of ServiceHELPLINE: Helpline staffed by professionals who understand the unique challenges faced by today’s military and veteran families. Free service offers information, creates connections and gives hope to struggling families, wherever they are. It can also serve as a future resident’s first step to moving to the National Home.

FAMILY PROGRAM: Families who need a fresh start can live in the safe and peaceful environment of the VFW National Home for Children campus community for 1-4 years and benefit from numerous community supports, including case management services, on-site licensed child care, life skills training, tutoring and other educational services, as well as recreational and community service opportunities.

EligibilityMarried, Single Parent or guardian(s) families with dependent child(ren) where: The child(ren) have VFW or Ladies Auxiliary member in his or her parental lineage and/or a parent is a veteran (honorably discharged or still serving in the National Guard or Reserves)
Deploying or unaccompanied tour service members: Spouse with dependent child(ren) or Family Plan appointed guardian with dependent child(ren)
