Description of Service
National Aviary Summer Camps are unlike any other field trip, classroom or camp!
Explore the depths of a tropical jungle, feed our colony of African penguins, discover what it takes to be a falconer or veterinarian, or develop the artist within! National Aviary Summer Camps enable children and teens to discover the wild world and their place in it--both indoors and out.
National Aviary Summer Campers have access to the National Aviary's world-class immersive exhibits, including the historic Tropical Forest and Wetlands, the Helen M. Schmidt FliteZone Theater, SkyDeck and our new Canary's Call exhibit. Campers can interact with some of their favorite birds, including African penguins, flamingos, toucans, parrots and raptors, and gain access to many behind-the scenes spaces not accessible to the public.
Registration fees must be paid in advance to hold your place in camp. The easiest way to pay is with a credit card over the phone. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. You can also mail a check to National Aviary, Attn: Summer Camp Registration, 700 Arch Street, Pittsburgh, PA, 15212.
