    Allegheny County DHS - Senior Community CentersSenior Community Centers are places for older adults to gather with friends or make new ones, enjoy a meal or engage in a variety of activities. Life enrichment classes, exercise programs, trips to interesting places, transportation to and from the center, and financial and benefit counseling are some of the opportunities awaiting older adults. Senior Community Center activities are geared to the social, intellectual, cultural, economic, emotional and physical needs or interests of adults 60 years of age or older. In addition, the information-and-referral staff provide assistance in applying for benefits and programs available to older adults in Allegheny County. Lunch is also available Monday through Friday in the senior centers.
