Such facilities usually provide in-house individual, group and family counseling and the full range of other secondary services that are related to child abuse including referral to appropriate resources.

    Case Management for Homeless FamiliesCase-management for families (parent[s] with children) dealing with homelessness. Families live at host congregations for one week at a time and rotate around to twelve different churches in the area who provide shelter, three free meals a day, and often provide evening activites and fellowship for the guests. Each day, families are transported to the Day Center by the FPHCR bus where families can do laundry, shower and get ready for school or work. Parents who are not working stay at the Day Center and work on job and housing searches.     Catholic Charities Interfaith Shelter for Homeless FamiliesThe Interfaith Shelter for Homeless Families, operated by Catholic Charities is the only family shelter that serves men, women and children in the Capital region. Families are able to stay together in their time of crisis. Each family is provided 3 meals a day, plus snacks, clean bedding, towels, personal hygiene items and toiletries.     Next Step Center, Inc. Emergency ShelterEmergency shelter (up to 30 days) to eligible, low-income families and individuals from Somerset County who, due to situational crisis, are at risk of becoming homeless.
