Share-A-RideCAT's Share-A-Ride program is a door-to-door service that provides transportation to senior citizens, riders with disabilities and other members of the general public through out Dauphin County. Customers often share their ride with others who have scheduled trips to the same general area. CAT has their own drivers and vans in which to transport customers, however, sometimes when necessary, rides will be provided by taxicabs and other private vendors who assist CAT. Shared-Ride Program for Senior CitizensThis program provides reduced rates for senior citizens 65 and older throughout Pennsylvania. Seniors pay 15% of the fare and the Lottery fund pays the remaining 85% on the local Share-A-Ride door-to-door advance reservation transportation service.
