Consumer Financial Protection Bureau - Complaints1 Users submit complaints about an issue with a company about a consumer financial product or service. CFPB sends email updates and users can log in to track the status of complaints. 2 CFPB forwards complaints to the company and works to get a response from them. If CFPB finds that another government agency would be better able to assist, the complaint is forwarded to them. 3 The company will review the complaint, communicate with the user as needed, and report back about the steps taken or that will be taken on the issue in the complaint. 4 CFPB will let users know when the company responds. Users can review that response and provide feedback. 5 Complaint data is shared with state and federal law enforcement agencies.
