Detention, Shelter, and SecureAbraxas Youth Center is composed of three distinct youth care programs housed in one facility. Abraxas houses the following: * An eighteen bed, short-term, non-secure residential care unit for dependent and alleged or adjudicated delinquent youth * A 45 day diagnostic program * An eighteen bed, secure detention unit for alleged or adjudicated delinquent youth * A thirty-six bed, secure residential treatment unit providing services to adjudicated juvenile male firesetters, sexual offenders, and/or habitual offenders. The Abraxas Youth Center provides life skills, goal setting, cognitive behavioral programs, a 52-week group curriculum with counseling seven nights a week.
