    Cancer Caring Center - Young Adult Cancer Support (YACS) - Financial AssistanceAwards young adult cancer patients and survivors, aged 18-39, with financial assistance grants to assist with the financial burden that cancer causes.     Cancer Financial Assistance CoalitionCancer Financial Assistance Coalition (CFAC) is a coalition of organizations helping cancer patients manage their financial challenges. They join forces to help cancer patients experience better health and well-being by limiting financial challenges, through:
    • Facilitating communication and collaboration among member organizations;
    • Educating patients and providers about existing resources and linking to other organizations that can disseminate information about the collective resources of the member organizations;
    • Advocating on behalf of cancer patients who continue to bear financial burdens associated with the costs of cancer treatment and care.
    CFAC is a coalition of organizations and cannot respond to individual requests for financial assistance. To find out if financial help is available, please search the CFAC database. You may also contact each CFAC member organization individually for guidance and possible financial assistance.     Caring Voice Coalition- Financial Assistance - Provides financial grants to alleviate the burden of medication copayments and health insurance premiums, allowing patients to start and remain on their prescription therapies. - Alternate Coverage - Patients often have trouble finding affordable health insurance plans or may encounter issues they’re unable to resolve. CVC insurance specialists investigate, review and explain patients’ current benefits to them. They work with all insurance types—commercial, government and exchanges—to resolve issues and help patients identify and explore sources of new or improved coverage. CVC is a Certified Application Counselor Designated Organization for Marketplace services under the Affordable Care Act. - Social Security Disability - CVC’s Social Security disability program supports patients through the various stages of the Supplemental Security Income and Social Security Disability Insurance application process.     HealthWell FoundationThe HealthWell Foundation provides financial assistance to eligible individuals to cover coinsurance, copayments, health care premiums and deductibles for certain medications and therapies. If you've been prescribed a medication and your insurance company covers it, but you still cannot afford the coinsurance or copayment required, we may be able to assist you by paying for part of your costs associated with the medication. Also, if you are eligible for health insurance, but cannot afford the insurance premium, we may be able to assist with your insurance premium. Please keep in mind that the HealthWell Foundation currently does not assist with the following expenses:
    • Office visits,
    • Administration or infusion costs,
    • Medical equipment and supplies,
    • Medical transportation,
    • Health insurance premium costs for an entire family,
    • Deductibles that apply to treatments and services that are not eligible for your approved disease fund,
    • Pharmacy compounding costs,
    • Over-the-counter treatments,
    • Treatments for side effects (e.g. nausea).
