    Child care centers, family child care homes, schools and recreation centers that provide supervised care for school-age children prior to the beginning and/or following the end of the school day, on school holidays and teacher work/conference days, during school breaks and, in some cases, during the summer when school is not in session in situation where their parents are working or otherwise engaged. While some extended day care programs provide a variety of activities for children in the program, they are not designed to provide specialty instruction such as art or music lessons, or organized sports.

    3rd and Spruce Rec CenterThe 3rd and Spruce Recreation Center provides safe and fun recreation activities to City youth all year long.     Before and After School Fun ClubThe Chambersburg YMCA provides Before and After School Fun Club for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade at eight satellite locations in addition to the YMCA. All locations provide quality supervision and homework assistance, recreation, socialization, and a snack. Our satellite locations provide supervision at Ben Chambers, Grandview, Hamilton Heights, South Hamilton, Scotland, Fayetteville, Guilford Hills and New Franklin.     Communities in Schools of Philadelphia - After School Enrichment AcademySince 2001, the School District of Philadelphia and Communities In Schools of Philadelphia, Inc. (CISP) have partnered to manage the After School Enrichment Academy (ASEA). The program provides out of school time services to include after school and summer enrichment camp programming to underserved inner city elementary and middle school aged children and youth. The program targets at-risk youth with services and community resources to increase the safety of program participants and prevent their involvement with harmful behaviors that might jeopardize their futures.
