    Programs, generally supported by donations from the community, that attempt to facilitate enjoyment of the Christmas season by low-income community residents through distribution of food baskets which usually contain a ham, turkey or other meat and all of the trimmings for a Christmas dinner (or vouchers to purchase these items) and occasionally gifts for children or other family members.

    Prince of Peace Center - Food ServicesIndividuals and families enrolled in the Center's Food Program receive monthly bags of food, supplementing what they can purchase using food stamps. Bread is available daily at the Center and fresh fruits and vegetables are distributed when available. During the holiday season, Food Program registrants receive turkeys and hams for holiday dinners, and parents are eligible to participate in the Toy Day Distribution, allowing them to choose several new and gently used toys to give to their children. Provides supplemental food to over 500 families a year - most of these on a monthly basis.
