|Drew's Hope - Family Grief Support||Dealing with grief is challenging, especially for children and teens. Drew’s Hope is a free grief and loss support program offered each fall and spring for children, teens and their families who are grieving the death of a loved one (family member or friend). The seven session program is facilitated by counseling students and professors from Shippensburg University and is held on the campus of Shippensburg University (and Greencastle Antrim Middle School as needed). GriefShare groups meet weekly for 13 weeks. Each week the GriefShare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. After viewing the video, time is spent as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in their lives. During the week, participants have the opportunity to use their workbooks for further personal study of the grieving process and to help sort out their emotions through journaling.
