The program consists of 20 three-hour group sessions plus individual care, some of which includes families. Graduates qualify for the Continuing Care component. Continuing Care: Graduates of Greenbriar programs and their families are encouraged to attend this programming which consists of twelve months of weekly group therapy, led by an experienced counselor from our staff. Therapy discussion centers around goals that each graduate established during treatment. Continuing Care is a bridge between treatment and recovery in a 12 step program. There is no charge for this service. Family Program: Families of patients are encouraged to participate in the family programs consisting of weekly group education and counseling. Student Assistance ProgramFor over 25 years the Student Assistance Program has worked in Pennsylvania to help troubled students. In some situations we are a first line of support for students dealing with any family, drug & alcohol, sadness, peer drama, or bullying issues. We support students in school, but we also connect students and families to outside resources to help them negotiate some of life’s most tumultuous storms. HCP provides Student Assistance Program trained liaisons that serve in all of the middle and high schools in Franklin and Fulton County. Substance Abuse Alternatives ProgramAldersgate's unique Substance Abuse Alternatives Program, SAA, offers teens cited for underage drinking an opportunity to discuss and evaluate the impact of personal choices on their lives. This is a 6 hour psychoeducational class program that is accepted by most area District Justices, School Districts and Youth Aid Panels as part of an alternative sentencing diversion program.
