Operation Troop AppreciationOur mission is to build and sustain the morale and well being of the military community, past and present, with the assurance that the American public supports and appreciates their selfless service and daily sacrifices. We do this through 2 programs, our Active Duty Wish List program and our Welcome Home Veteran Support Program. Our active duty program supports deployed military units by providing wish list items specifically requested by the troops in the field, such as hygiene, snacks, MWR items, supplemental tactical supplies, and personal items. Our Welcome Home program provides critical support to veterans in need. This assistance takes the form of beds and mattresses and kitchen / home supplies for veterans entering permanent housing from a homeless or near-homeless situation. OTA also provides free taxi service for veterans to attend Doctor / counseling / VA appointments, and to get to and from job interviews.
