    Programs located at military installations throughout the world that handle inquiries from military personnel, retirees, reservists and their family members, do an assessment of their needs and refer them to sources of help available at the installation or in the local community. The centers may provide relocation assistance, transition assistance, family life programs (e.g., parenting, stress management), individual and family counseling, employment assistance, and financial management services as well as emergency assistance.

    National Guard of the United States - National Guard Family ProgramThe National Guard Family Program exists for the sole purpose of supporting and educating families along the path of their National Guard life. In each state, there is a State Family Program Director and one to four Wing Family Program Coordinators in support of the families. There are also Family Readiness Groups/Key Volunteer Groups, Family Readiness Assistants, Family Assistance Staff, where you, as a family member, can take full advantage of any and all services available. Family Program services include:
    • Family Readiness - assists service members and their families to prepare for separations during short and long term deployments.
    • Volunteer Program - National Guard Volunteers contribute a broad range of services that enhance the capabilities of National Guard programs and services and augment the efforts of paid staff.
    • Child and Youth Program (CYP) - offers outcome based activities designed to foster positive youth development and support the unique strengths and challenges of National Guard children.
    • Community Outreach - focuses on connecting Guard families with local, regional, and national organizations in support of their everyday lives at home.

    USO of Pennsylvania and Southern New JerseySupports all branches of the military with programs that include marriage enrichment, survivor networking weekends, summer camps for children of Pennsylvania National Guard members, phone cards, gift cards to purchase school supplies or holiday items and emergency assistance for military families. Also, works with the World USO and Family Literacy Foundation on the United Through Reading program which allows deploying service members to choose a book for their child from the USO library and videotapes the service member reading the book to the child. Both the tape and the book are given to the child. Liberty USO has its headquarters and service center in Terminal A-East of the Philadelphia International Airport. The center is open 24 hours a day, seven days per week, 365 days per year. Liberty USO also operates a service center at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst that is open during deployments and homecomings. In addition to the two service centers, Liberty USO also conducts activities at Naval Air Station/Joint Reserve Base in Willow Grove, and Fort Indiantown Gap.
