Hope Enterprises - Adult Training FacilityThe Adult Training Facility at Hope Enterprises is a social/recreational day program for adults with developmental disabilities. Staff provide extensive personal care including tube feedings and assistance with other needs. They work to improve communication skills, sometimes using various forms of assistive technology, sensory motor activities provide health benefits, improve function, increase participation in and control over ones environment for an improved quality of life. Therapeutic massages are also available and has been especially beneficial to those in wheelchairs in improving circulation to legs and feet. Individualized activities may include music, arts and crafts, exercise, seasonal activities, and cooking. Individuals participate in volunteer programs at nursing homes, the SPCA, Early Learning Programs, a local soup kitchen, and Meals on Wheels. Hope Enterprises - Community Employment ServicesCommunity Employment Services (CES) assists people with developmental disabilities with finding employment. Job coaches provide free, on-the-job training to individuals with mental retardation. A job coach will work with the employee until the employer is satisfied with the individual's work performance. At that time, the job coach will gradually withdraw support from the worksite, a process known as "fading," enabling the employee to function at a fully independent level.LycomingJob Placement and TrainingHope Enterprises
Hope Enterprises - Social Rehabilitation, Pre-employment Training, and Community Employment SuccessThe FOCES (FOCES on Community Employment Success) is a social rehabilitation program with an emphasis on pre-employment training. Through a process of skill development and goal orientation, the FOCES program staff work with individuals to identify their particular interests and strengths so they will be as prepared as possible to pursue, attain and maintain employment either on a part-time or full-time basis.
