Conemaugh Health System - Operation Family CaregiverOperation Family Caregiver is an educational program offered by the Conemaugh Health System to teach caregivers of returning Service Members a set of tools to help manage everyday problems. Operation Family Caregiver is a FREE, tailored, caregiver support intervention consisting of: in-home, Skype or phone visits, monthly telephone availability, data collection at beginning and end, program length 4-6 months, and you must complete 75% of sessions to be considered a program completer. The objective of the program is to improve:
  • Ability of family caregiver to utilize evidence-based problem-solving skills to reduce the burden of caregiving and enhance well-being,
  • Utilization of problem-solving skills to lower family caregiver depression and health complaints,
  • Management of anxiety of children located in the home.
Taking part in this program may help you to better understand the problems you may be having as a caregiver for a service member with physical disability, traumatic brain injury, and/or combat stress. Any information obtained from this program, and which may be important to your health will be shared with you.

Family Driven Family Support ServiceProvide eligible families the chance to be directly involved in choosing the services and goods, which address their unique needs. The role of the FDSS payment agent services is payment facilitation on behalf of the consumer/family for those goods and services pre-authorized in the person's Individualized Support Plan (ISP).
