Individuals age 18 and older who have been subjected to a persistent pattern behavior in which one intimate partner uses physical violence, coercion, threats, intimidation, isolation and emotional, sexual, or economic abuse to control the other partner in a relationship. Stalking or other harassing behavior is often an integral part of the pattern. Abusers may include caregivers, spouses, intimate partners or other family members.

Crisis Center North - Passport Microloan ProgramCrisis Center North's Passport Program is a source of non-traditional loans for survivors of domestic violence who may not be able to access traditional banking for emergency and other identifiable needs. The simple interest loans, ranging from $50 to $500, can be used for expenses such as car repair, a small business loan for materials and supplies, books or tuition costs, or uniforms or professional attire. Loans can be secured for a 6 or 12-month term and are offered at a rate of 5% interest. All interest and repaid funds are redirected into making additional loans. Participants will be asked to complete some degree of financial education, depending on the term of the loan. Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic ViolencePCADV lobbies the Pa. Legislature for improvements to the PFA law and other laws for victims and collaborates with community programs or service centers to make sure these laws are enforced. PCADV administers the state contract for domestic violence services, sets standards for those services, distributes state and federal funding to community programs and seeks other sources of funding to ensure the needs of victims are met throughout the state. PCADV also develops training materials programs need, trains the trainers and partners with state officials to effectively coordinate PA's response to domestic violence. In addition, PCADV advocates for housing laws and public housing policies that protect victims and prevent landlords from discriminating against them.
