    Coast Guard Mutual AssistanceCoast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) is a tax-exempt organization of Coast Guard people assisting the entire Coast Guard family, including active duty, retired military, Coast Guard civilian employees, Coast Guard Reserve, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Public Health Service officers serving with the Coast Guard, and surviving family members. Most assistance is provided through interest-free loans and personal grants. Education assistance programs support members and dependents in their pursuit of academic goals. Other types of assistance include emergency travel, temporary living expenses, funeral expenses, loss of funds or property, disaster relief, medical and dental expenses, home studies expenses for adoptions, and debt management.     Navy-Marine Corps Relief SocietyThe Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society (NMCRS) provides financial assistance and education, as well as other programs and services, to members of the United States Navy and Marine Corps, their eligible family members, widows, and survivors. The Society also receives and manages donated funds to administer these programs and services. Our main goal is to help each person who comes to us get support for their immediate needs. Our long-term mission is to help Sailors and Marines become financially self-sufficient by learning how to better manage their personal finances and prepare for unplanned expenses.
